Why did you join SWIB? I’ve always end up working in male dominated industries, as a technology consultant in the past or as an investment banker in the future. Working in a networking-heavy industry I’ve always had a network of mostly smart and driven men, but very few women. One of my goals as I came to business school was to build a network of smart, bold, and strong women. SWIB is the platform I get to that.
Also, coming from a country where women aren’t so empowered, working towards educating women to be independent, encouraging women to speak up and stand up for themselves has been a long-standing mission of my life.
I believe SWIB is a community where I get to do both of the above, and learn and lean on wonderful women who have completely different stories.Favorite part about Stern: As cliché as it sounds - it's the people. I moved countries and left behind my family and friends, but at Stern I've always felt surrounded by amazing people who encourage me, push me, and support me.
Advice for women considering pursuing business school: Reach out - there's this network of amazing women who have been on a similar journey, and are passionate to help you in your journey
Fun Fact: I could watch Grey's Anatomy a 100 times, and I would still cry at the same scenes
